Programs

The Library Foundation of Delaware County (LFDC) plays a vital role in supporting the library system and enriching the experience of all who visit. Here’s a look at some of the programs and resources made possible through donor support and Foundation initiatives.

Museum Passes

Looking for a fun, educational outing? The Foundation underwrites the cost of dozens of museum passes each year, giving families across Delaware County access to over 40 museums, zoos, and gardens.
Popular destinations include:

  • Elmwood Park Zoo
  • Tyler Arboretum
  • The Academy of Natural Sciences
  • The National Constitution Center
  • Battleship New Jersey
  • Chanticleer Garden

You can browse available passes through your local library system. We hope you enjoy your next adventure!

eResources

Access to digital books and online content is more important than ever. LFDC recently contributed $56,000 to expand eBook collections across all Delaware County library locations, giving each site a $2,000 boost to better serve the community’s reading needs.

In-Service Training

Great libraries are built by great teams. That’s why LFDC helps fund systemwide professional development opportunities, partially sponsoring countywide training for library staff coordinated through Delaware County Libraries (DCL).

Grant & Donation Pass-Through

As a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Foundation is uniquely positioned to serve as a pass-through organization for grants and donations that can’t be accepted directly by DCL due to its status as a government agency. This opens new doors for funding vital projects and programs throughout the library system.
